\ntoday was yet another beautiful day to be in the ocean! surfed some super fun waves this morning with Mr. and Mrs. Takeda. had a great session with very long rides.

\nthen we went to eat at the localist local restaurant in kalihi. you won’t find any tourists here. this place is made for locals, catered to locals, and will be a local favorite spot forever. that’s why i refuse to post it on my blog. some secrets are better kept secrets.

\ni ordered the Hawaiian Style Stew for only $8. so much food and so good food! i still can’t believe i at it all!

\nMichiko-san ordered the fried pork plate. that looked super good too!

\nTakeda-san and Michiko-san caught a lot of waves, and ate a lot of food. i still can’t believe i met this wonderful couple at narita airport a couple of years ago. thank you for the wonderful times!

\nwe were expecting a solid south swell to start today and after seeing some waist high sets, i thought it was coming.

\nbut when i went to check diamond head this evening, it was flat! high tide, no swell, and lots of people waiting for the anticipated south swell.
