{"id":49714,"date":"2014-10-19T05:16:34","date_gmt":"2014-10-18T20:16:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/?p=49714"},"modified":"2014-10-19T05:16:34","modified_gmt":"2014-10-18T20:16:34","slug":"day-3-ukus-and-guitar","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/?p=49714","title":{"rendered":"Boat Trip Day 3:  Uku&#039;s and Guitar!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>opps, forgot about my Banyak journal.  i would find myself to bed after a few bintangs, managed to type in my daily journal before falling fast asleep.  here is day 3.<br \/>\nday 3.  wake up and pulled up to treasure island.<br \/>\nbeen here before but waves were so different.<br \/>\nnobody out in the morning so jumped in to get wet.<br \/>\nonshore and very junk.  but surfed anyway.<br \/>\nthen came in for a dive on the outside.<br \/>\nstoked to see some fish!<br \/>\ntook a 50&#8242; drop as i seen a school of uku.<br \/>\nwaited on the bottom seen them come to check me out.<br \/>\naimed my gun at one and out from the back i seen a GT coming in.<br \/>\nwe have 13 hungry people on the boat so i waited for the biggest one to come in.<br \/>\nbam, got it, and was happy.<br \/>\nthen it was on!  everybody started shooting fish after fish.<br \/>\ntravis, kekoa, al, all with uku&#8217;s for a weeks worth of sashimi and poke.<br \/>\ncame back to the boat for Tiare&#8217;s dream board workshop.<br \/>\nwaves in the back going off so couldn&#8217;t concentrate.<br \/>\npaddled out for a afternoon session.<br \/>\nsuper perfect sheet glassy conditions and barreling.<br \/>\ngot a double barrel on my first wave.<br \/>\nthen a triple barrel after that.<br \/>\nperfect waves and perfect memories.<br \/>\nwater running out.  can&#8217;t take a shower until it rains and we catch water.<br \/>\nused 2\/3 of the water supply in the first few days.  we need rain badly.<br \/>\nthe bintangs tasted really good.<br \/>\nso did the sashimi.<br \/>\nTravis guitar jam session.  awesome.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/P1060821.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/P1060821.jpg\" alt=\"P1060821\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-49716\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nthis was my first dive day.  so stoked to go free diving with my friends.  moments like this i will remember for the rest of my life.  nice fish Matsu!  haha.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/IMG_0111.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/IMG_0111.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_0111\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-49715\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nMatsu also caught a katsuo or aku on the fishing pole.  then this is what it looked like on the way to the dinner table.  it was awesome!<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/IMG_0053.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/IMG_0053.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_0053\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-49717\" \/><\/a><br \/>\neverybody needs a nap.
