i was thinking about where to go this year. mentawai’s been on my mind every year since i went there for the first time 13 years ago. hands down the best waves in the world. big barrels and very consistent. our go-naminori boat trip back in 2010 was amazing. the coolest group of people, and the best waves of our lives. and now after watching it again, i think i’m going to take a 10 day break, jump on a boat in the mentawai’s. this time i will try to time the swell and jump on a plane. i just want to get barreled and barreled and the mentawai’s is the best place for that.

\nand not too many sup paddlers too. toda-san even got barreled!

\nif your on a boat with us, you will eat sashimi every night. i can pretty much guarantee that. the skin diver footage is awesome. see all the black stuff? that’s not dust on the lens, it’s freaking lots of fish!!!

\nand of course you need a great mix of people to keep it interesting.
