a long 9 hour flight and as soon as i got in my seat, i fell asleep.
\nwoke up right before landing in osaka. my mind and eyes must have
\nneeded a rest. got here, did an interview with naohiro for Yomiuri
\nnewspaper and Mainichi newspaper. atsuko-san made me warm sukiyaki, i
\njumped in the fudo, and now i’m freezing in my room. yeah, it’s cold
\nhere. i have 3 hours of sleep before we leave for a 10 hour drive to
\nshonan, where we will meet up with the other 4 people, and 1 van, and
\n1 truck. we still don’t know the route but we’re kind of focusing on
\ngoing to ibaraki, fukushima, sendai, and end up at iwate.
\nopened my mail. i’m overwhelmed by the support around the world.

\ni’m trying to focus everything on our mission. the past 2 days in
\nhawaii, i was running around dropping off tshirts, and in front of my
\ncomputer studying radiation. boy did i learn a lot. as of right now,
\nthere is NO radiation in wakayama.
\non this trip, my main focus will be on Minami Souma City in
\nfukushima. it’s right in the 25-30 kilometer area of the nuclear
\npower plant. after i seen the mayor of that city pleading for help on
\nyoutube, i know that we have to go there and help. yes, the radiation
\nlevel is high, but if we don’t go, who will? it’s well in the 80
\nkilometer evacuation the american government put out but hopefully my
\n2 day education on radiation will keep us safe.
\ni better get to sleep. naohiro has mobil WiFi so i’ll be posting
\nthings as i see it.
\nas for the feeling in japan, it’s a lot different than the past 100
\ntimes i came here. you can just see it in the eyes, and hear it in
\nthe voices. so much uncertainty in the air….
