\nthere is a little shop tucked away on a residential street in kaimuki. it’s called “Your Kitchen.” i pass by here every single day multiple of times. i can see the lines of locals enjoying food and shave ice, and i can smell the pork slowly cooking in the hot pot. owned and run by japanese, it’s by far the best little eating shop in kaimuki.

\ncontemporary japanese lunch plate. best pork bowl, and best loco moco on the island. and if you don’t believe me, you have to try it.

\nsuper small, super efficient, and super clean. 6 seats on the inside, and lots of curbside seating on the outside.

\norder your food, wait as they make it as it’s ordered, get it nice and hot, and get ready for a great meal.

\ni order either the pork bowl, or the loco moco. this time i ordered the pork bowl because i was craving fatty juicy pieces of pork. special sauce over hot japanese rice, and topped off with a very high quality fried egg.

\n$8.50 and you’re fully satisfied. try it out as you won’t be disappointed. but remember they are closed on monday and tuesday. enjoy!
