\ni want to thank james from hawaii for sending me this photo he took
\nyesterday. when i opened it up, i was so happy to see my home. when
\ni drive out of my valley, i see rainbows like this all the time. but
\nthis one is different because i’m not driving out of my valley. gosh,
\ni guess i have to appreciate those routine drives more. ok, today is
\nthe day. our van is going to smell like a fruit shop so i ain’t
\ncomplaining. ever slept between bananas and strawberries? i will.
\nthe weather is supposed to get to 2 degrees again so i’ll be freezing
\nmy ass off. i guess it could be worst.
\ni want to thank everyone of you who sent fruits for this mission, and
\ni want to thank everyone of you who sent other foods to the other
\ntruck in wakayama. i want to thank everyone of you who came to the
\nshop from so far away to personally drop fruits off, i want to thank
\neveryone of you who dropped of donations. it’s unbelievable how
\ngenerous and supportive everybody in japan is. i’m proud to be from
\nhawaii, but at the same time, i’m equally proud to be japanese.
\nwe drive into minami soma tomorrow morning as we finally got a meeting
\nwith the mayor mr. sakurai. 9am sharp we should be in his office
\nhanding over a monetary donation from all of you. i’m excited to see
\nthe man that is taking action to protect his city. he’s like my
\nhero. from there, we will drive deeper into minami soma donating the
\nfresh fruits we have. yes, minami soma is a city under evacuation and
\ni’m sure there will be way less people in there than last week. the
\nmayor is commanding his post and i respect that. i’m going in there
\nwith a whole different group so i’m sure there will be a lot of nerves
\ndriving though the high radiation area.
\nafter that, we plan to head up north to sendai, pick up more supplies,
\nthen head to iwate where the fresh fish\/vegetable truck will meet us
\non wednesday. i received so many emails saying that taking good
\nhealthy food was a great idea. i’m sure we will make a lot of people
\nhappy, and give them the nutrition to move forward. i’m excited about
\nthis trip because i know what to expect, and i know what to do to be a
\nbetter help. last time was like studying for the test, this time is
\nthe test. last time i was shocked, this time i won’t be. we will
\ndrive farther, we will work harder, and we will sleep in the cold
\ncolder. wait, that didn’t make sense.
\n**please nobody remind me of the dangers, we all know it. just wish
\nus luck as we start the WE ARE ONE mission 2. i have my mobile
\ninternet connection where ever we go, and also my cel phone. if there
\nis any big earthquakes, or should i say, when there is a big
\nearthquake, please email me and give me the info. everybody else’s
\ncel phones beep loud when a earthquake hits, not mine. and to my dear
\nfriend steven in manoa, i’m going to need you on this trip. level 7
\nat the fukushima nuclear plant is a scary thought, please keep me
\nposted if anything goes wrong. and yes, we will be not far from the
\nplant tomorrow. probably 18 kilos out?
