\nwoke up yesterday morning and checked the waves. FLAT! load up the truck and head to the beach.

\npassed by bowls and it was flat. forget surfing, let’s go fishing and diving! Kyle, Maki-san, Hayato making sure the waves are super small so we don’t miss anything.

\ni was super happy that Kimura-san joined us. it was either to surf knee high bowls with 40 people, or play in the ocean with just ourselves. we ended up having a wonderful day playing in the ocean.

\nwhile we were fishing, Hayato went to jump in. with fishing poles and a lot of bait in the water, something big was bound to swim by. one big ono did but it was lucky and wiggled off Hayato’s spear. lucky fish.

\nwas so cool to see Maki-san fishing and catching a lot of fish. we caught so many fish, swam with the turtles and submarines, and had a great time enjoying the ocean and each other. so stoked to be in the best place in the world with such great friends.

\nsteamed fresh fish chinese style. this will cost a lot of money in a chinese restaurant. great job and great presentation Maki-san!

\ni stopped by tamura’s on the way home and grabbed some beer and poke.

\nmy favorite poke on the island is from tamura’s.
