\nso stoked to surf with Kyomi-san here in hawaii. wife of the nicest shimanchu in the world, Kazubo-san. i’ve been going to okinawa for many many years so the Miyagi-san family is like my family. just pure big island hearts!

\nJudy-chan’s been surfing a lot in town. just perfect waves for her everyday. short board or long board, it’s always fun!

\nto be able to surf with friends in hawaii is amazing, especially at sunrise time!

\nKiyomi-san was ripping! was stoked to see her catching so many waves. and i was so stoked to see Arisa-chan ripping too. another surf star from okinawa!

\nthank you my shimanchu friends from okinawa. i will definitely see you guys again very soon. hope you made it to the airport in time for your flight. haisai!

\nand i’m sure Kazubo-san is very proud of his daughter ripping it up in hawaii. i can’t believe i’ve known this girl since she was a little baby. omg, kids grow so fast!

\ncame home right in time for the WSL at Jaws. omg, the best big wave contest in the history of big wave surfing. it was amazing!

\nthe wipeouts were crazy!

\nand so were the barrels!

\nnothing was missed. the media had this event well covered.

\ni’m surprised somebody didn’t die out there. it was that freaking crazy!
