{"id":63221,"date":"2016-01-07T14:30:19","date_gmt":"2016-01-07T05:30:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/?p=63221"},"modified":"2016-01-07T14:30:19","modified_gmt":"2016-01-07T05:30:19","slug":"outdoor-sports-in-hawaii","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/?p=63221","title":{"rendered":"Outdoor Sports in Hawaii"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/IMG_4430.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_4430\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-63222\" \/><br \/>\nhad an awesome day with Koguma-san!  the waves were small today so we set off on Mayuki looking for the perfect wave.  as we were heading to one of my secret spots, i saw something weird???  a big fin sticking out of the water.  so i approached it and it was a big tiger shark!  it was just cruising on the surface like Jaws!  i tell Koguma-san &#8220;check out that big shark!&#8221;  he looks in disbelief.  1 minute later i pull up to my spot and Koguma-san didn&#8217;t want to surf it.  haha.  i don&#8217;t blame him.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Screen-Shot-2016-01-07-at-12.55.03-PM.jpg\" alt=\"Screen Shot 2016-01-07 at 12.55.03 PM\" width=\"640\" height=\"361\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-63229\" \/><br \/>\nso we anchor at bowls and find some nice waves.  super stoked to see Koguma-san ripping!<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/IMG_4438.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_4438\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-63224\" \/><br \/>\nthen we were hungry so we went to Diamond Head Grill.  the locomoco there is pretty dam good.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/IMG_4437.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_4437\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-63223\" \/><br \/>\nhad a great lunch in the hot sun.  then went to pick up the rest of the family and head back out to enjoy the ocean.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/IMG_4439.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_4439\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-63225\" \/><br \/>\nright as we pulled out, we spotted a whale.  so we watched it for a little while, then went fishing.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/IMG_4455.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_4455\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-63226\" \/><br \/>\nthen we went snorkeling.  so happy to have Akiko-san experience the ocean for the first time.  she told me the deepest in the sea she&#8217;s gone was knee high.  haha.  today was a huge accomplishment for her.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/IMG_4461.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_4461\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-63227\" \/><br \/>\nDaigo-kun loves to fish.  he started at age 10.  now he&#8217;s 12 and is very experienced.  nice moana kid!<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/IMG_4473.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_4473\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"align none size-full wp-image-63228\" \/><br \/>\nthen the kids were hungry so we went to eat the best fish and chips on the island.  an amazing day with an amazing family.  thank you and hope you all enjoy the rest of your hawaiian vacation!<br \/>\nit&#8217;s 7pm and i&#8217;m ready to fall asleep.  i was wondering why i&#8217;m so tired and i realized that i surfed early sunrise this morning before i went to pick up Koguma-san.  i must have spent 8 hours in the ocean today.  but you know what?  i love it!  tomorrow, same thing!  good early night.  i&#8217;m going to sleep.  <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>had an awesome day with Koguma-san! the waves were small today so we set off on Mayuki looking for the perfect wave. as we were heading to one of my secret spots, i saw something weird??? a big fin sticking out of the water. so i approached it and it was a big tiger shark!
