{"id":64277,"date":"2016-02-09T15:38:07","date_gmt":"2016-02-09T06:38:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/?p=64277"},"modified":"2016-02-09T15:38:07","modified_gmt":"2016-02-09T06:38:07","slug":"good-morning-hawaii-winter-gold","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/?p=64277","title":{"rendered":"Good Morning Hawaii:  Winter Gold"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>first, the big news of the Eddie Aikau running on wednesday is true!  it&#8217;s been 6 long years since it was last held.  forecasters say big wednesday, but i checked and i think big wednesday night.  the swell supposed to peak at night but hopefully it will be big enough in the morning to hold the recommended 8 hour event.  we shall see.  expect big hype, lots of traffic, and dangerous rides.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/Screen-Shot-2016-02-09-at-10.51.56-AM.jpg\" alt=\"Screen Shot 2016-02-09 at 10.51.56 AM\" width=\"640\" height=\"358\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-64280\" \/><br \/>\ni knew this morning was going to have an amazing sunrise.  and also knew that the waves would be perfect.  so yesterday i asked Rikita-san and Toshimi-san if they wanted to start early.  they said yes and it turned out to be the best decision for us all!<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/IMG_5863.png\" alt=\"IMG_5863\" width=\"591\" height=\"317\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-64278\" \/><br \/>\nwoke up and it was 16 degrees C?  omg!  that&#8217;s so cold!<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/Screen-Shot-2016-02-09-at-10.51.41-AM.jpg\" alt=\"Screen Shot 2016-02-09 at 10.51.41 AM\" width=\"640\" height=\"363\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-64291\" \/><br \/>\nwe went very far out to sea to watch the sunrise.  you can&#8217;t see it from waikiki because diamond head blocks it.  so just have to go out to the ocean and you can see the golden moment.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/Screen-Shot-2016-02-09-at-10.52.08-AM.jpg\" alt=\"Screen Shot 2016-02-09 at 10.52.08 AM\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-64281\" \/><br \/>\nthe best part of the day.  it just takes your breath away.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/IMG_5894.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_5894\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-64279\" \/><br \/>\nlooks like golden fire!  after this, we went straight back in and surfed.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/Screen-Shot-2016-02-09-at-10.52.21-AM.jpg\" alt=\"Screen Shot 2016-02-09 at 10.52.21 AM\" width=\"640\" height=\"361\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-64283\" \/><br \/>\nthe waves were super glassy and empty.
