hello, one more blog i wrote but probably fell asleep before clicking the “publish” button. another funny day in hawaii that seemed like years ago.
\nFebruary 15, 2016:

\ncheck out my nephew having fun in the ocean! haha.
\n\"Screen
\nthis is how it all starts here in hawaii. take the kids to the ocean and they will love it forever. i remember when i was this age and doing things like this too.
\n\"Screen
\nit’s only the 2nd time i took Noah surfing. he kept on telling me he wanted bigger and bigger waves. haha.
\n\"Screen
\nif a kid falls off the board, they could either be traumatized or happy. it all depends on how your reaction is. for me, i’m always laughing and making sure the kid doesn’t freak out. because once they freak, they will never surf again. so i have my way of making a wipe out super fun.
\n\"Screen
\ntook the girls out yesterday too. love them being in the ocean and watching their bond getting stronger.
\n\"Screen
\nok, back to the story. this was funny too because i see this often and the results are always the same. chinese tourists doing something they shouldn’t be doing.
\n\"Screen
\nif i tell them something on the beach, they won’t listen. hawaii just gives you the illusion of paradise and it looks so safe that nothing can go wrong. i was about to go home right around this time but thought to myself “if i go home and later find out that they are missing at sea, i could regret it for the rest of my life.”
\n\"Screen
\nso i sit on the shore and watch them paddling out as they are laughing and giggling. there is usually no wind until you hit the end of the jetty on the right. then from there, the wind will blow you out to sea.
\n\"Screen
\nso they start to get blown out to sea but they think it’s because they are strong paddlers. wrong! i kept an eye on them and thought “i better go get them before one or all of them drown.”
\n\"Screen
\ni paddle to them and say “hey, do you guys know what you are doing?” they all said “yeah, we are just padding around, no problem.” ok, i go surf a couple of waves and see them getting farther and farther out to sea. there are no lifeguards around that area and i know that nobody else was going to help them.
\n\"Screen
\nso i paddle back out and say “hey, you guys are getting swept out to sea. look how far you are from land! can you even swim?” nobody answered so that usually means “no.” i tell them “just try to paddle back in. then you will see you can’t fight the wind.” they tried and said “omg, we aren’t moving!” i say, “yeah, it’s easy to get out here with the help of the wind, but almost impossible to get back in against it. you have only one guy who can even paddle, and 3 people that can’t even swim. once the sun goes down, nobody will find you.”

\nso i start to push them back in. then they tell me they are from china but live in america and joined the army. it’s their first time here so they had no clue about the ocean. as i was pushing them in, i told them i really appreciate your service and dedication to our country.
\n\"Screen
\nthen i saw one of my surf buddies paddling out to help me push them in. i was happy that she actually paddled from the beach to help me help them. i’ve been teaching this girl to always help others ever since she was 3 years old. this made me super proud of her.
\n\"Screen
\nonce we got near the waves, i told them to hang on. then a big wave came.
\n\"Screen
\nthey were tripping out! if the boat flipped over, somebody could have died. they couldn’t swim and that would create panic for sure. thank goodness everything went smoothly. we got them to the beach and they were all very thankful. i told them “never underestimate the ocean. it could give you the thrill of your life, and also take your life in a flash. please be careful and enjoy the rest of your hawaiian vacation.”

\nthey took their inflatable back to the car and i hope they returned it to wall mart. haha.
\n\"Screen
\nwant to thank my little nephew for waiting patiently on the beach. can’t wait to take you surfing again kid. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
