{"id":65016,"date":"2016-03-01T14:29:09","date_gmt":"2016-03-01T05:29:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/?p=65016"},"modified":"2016-03-01T14:29:09","modified_gmt":"2016-03-01T05:29:09","slug":"whales-and-mahimahis","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/?p=65016","title":{"rendered":"Whales and Mahimahis!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/IMG_6575.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_6575\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-65019\" \/><br \/>\nit was another beautiful day!  a day i took off from work to hang out with my awesome friends.  we left a little earlier this morning because the morning sessions are always better.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/IMG_6598.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_6598\" width=\"633\" height=\"449\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-65018\" \/><br \/>\npaddled out to perfect glassy conditions.  the kind of conditions surfers travel all the way to indonesia for.  it&#8217;s been like this every single day!<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/Screen-Shot-2016-03-01-at-10.40.55-AM.jpg\" alt=\"Screen Shot 2016-03-01 at 10.40.55 AM\" width=\"640\" height=\"382\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-65029\" \/><br \/>\nnone of us are competing against each other.  we just support and encourage each other.  cheering on each other from start to finish.  here is Naozo-san with the perfect point right.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/Screen-Shot-2016-03-01-at-10.36.16-AM.jpg\" alt=\"Screen Shot 2016-03-01 at 10.36.16 AM\" width=\"640\" height=\"373\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-65017\" \/><br \/>\ni&#8217;m so happy that i finally grew up and got my priorities right.  making the time to spend with my friends was one of my new years resolutions.  so far, that&#8217;s exactly what i&#8217;m doing.  and i&#8217;m loving each moment.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/IMG_6629.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_6629\" width=\"1280\" height=\"960\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-65024\" \/><br \/>\nMiwa-san, Naozo-san, and Takahashi-san are wonderful surfers i&#8217;ve known for a very long time.  we&#8217;ve had some great memories here in hawaii and there in okinawa.  cheers friends!<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/IMG_6619-e1456802039529.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_6619\" width=\"480\" height=\"640\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-65021\" \/><br \/>\nMiwa-san hit the reef and had a lot of sea urchin in her foot.  she caught a wave after that and totally forgot about the pain.  haha.  and i&#8217;m sure a cold beer helped too.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/IMG_6607.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_6607\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-65020\" \/><br \/>\nthen we went to watch the whales.  so many all over the place.  it&#8217;s peak whale watching season in hawaii!<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/IMG_6621.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_6621\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-65022\" \/><br \/>\nanother happy day for Takahashi-san.   he was surfing so good again today.  towards the end of the session, he said &#8220;wow, i should become pro surfer!!!&#8221;
