 got there on saturday and started off with a party!  so stoked to go to a surfer friends cafe in kaifu.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/IMG_8356.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_8356\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-66386\" \/><br \/>\nhad an awesome dinner with our happy TSSC family.  gosh, so happy to be a part of this amazing team for the past 23 years.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/IMG_8359.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_8359\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-66389\" \/><br \/>\nand want to thank Tamaki-san and the wonderful staff at Lisoi for the awesome food, drinks, and hospitality!<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/IMG_8353.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_8353\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-66387\" \/><br \/>\nwas in the mountains and seen a crab?  weird???  can i eat it?<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/IMG_8380.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_8380\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-66390\" \/><br \/>\nthe contest went by super smoothly.  perfect waves at 3 points that made high performance surfing for the 160 competitors!<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/IMG_8381.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_8381\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-66391\" \/><br \/>\nthis is totally japan surf culture.  each year in april, we all get together for one of the biggest surf events in japan.  happy faces and the big family of TSSC.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/IMG_8384.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_8384\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-66393\" \/><br \/>\ngood to see japan&#8217;s top surfer Shun Murakami signing posters for everybody.  from pipeline to ikumi, ripping it all the way!<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/IMG_8387-e1460352311876.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_8387\" width=\"480\" height=\"640\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-66394\" \/><br \/>\nthis little 8 year old kid was ripping!  he paddled out, won every heat, and ended up winning the open division.  another start to a bright future ahead for this TSSC kid from izu.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/IMG_8394.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_8394\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-66392\" \/><br \/>\nthen last nights party was amazing.  here is team Nobu-surf.  the strongest drinkers in the world.  haha. i would sit down, then have to run away because they kept on filling up my bear.  haha.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/IMG_8391.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_8391\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-66398\" \/><br \/>\nmy main focus was on these scallops.  we don&#8217;t have these in hawaii so i made sure i had my fair share.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/IMG_8395.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_8395\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-66396\" \/><br \/>\nthe TSSC after party is always amazing.  filled with amazing people and delicious food.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/IMG_8397.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_8397\" width=\"1280\" height=\"960\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-66397\" \/><br \/>\nNakajima-san on the grill.  after he burnt my first scallop, i sat by him to make sure he wouldn&#8217;t burn another one.  haha.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/IMG_8396.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_8396\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-66395\" \/><br \/>\ncooked to perfection!<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/IMG_8399.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_8399\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"align none size-full wp-image-66399\" \/><br \/>\nwant to thank Yassan and the big family of TSSC for a wonderful 2 nights in shikoku.  like always, can&#8217;t wait to do it again!
