OMG!  i had my suitcase, backpack, and surfboard.  the challenge was getting to the airport.  left my apartment and decided to walk 25 minutes to the bus station.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/IMG_8441.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_8441\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-66438\" \/><br \/>\nthen after 2 minutes of freezing, i flag down a taxi.  my surfboard fits perfectly in the front seat.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/IMG_8443.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_8443\" width=\"1280\" height=\"960\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-66439\" \/><br \/>\nwalk in the freezing cold carrying all my stuff for 25 minutes?  or get a cab for 700 yen and a 5 minute ride?  easy choice for me.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/IMG_8445.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_8445\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-66444\" \/><br \/>\nthen transferred to the bus.  unbelievable how good the service is in japan.  exceptional as they take care of my surfboard.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/IMG_8449.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_8449\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-66440\" \/><br \/>\nthen to kansai airport and ate my favorite breakfast there.  700 yen.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/IMG_8450.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_8450\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-66441\" \/><br \/>\nthen repacked.  minor clothes adjustments and i was read to check in.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/IMG_8448.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_8448\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-66445\" \/><br \/>\nso stoked to see the Noro-san family!  we were on the same flight.  i really missed these kids.  good to see Kairi and Reika growing up into fine adults.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/IMG_8452.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_8452\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-66442\" \/><br \/>\nomg, kansai airport was packed!!!  i was standing in line for over an hour just to get in the security gate.  and immigrations had a super long line too.  barely made my flight.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/IMG_8453.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_8453\" width=\"1280\" height=\"960\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-66443\" \/><br \/>\nTSSC rider Kaito-kun was on my flight too.  super small world.  all the kids are going to bali for the JPSA contest.  gosh, i remember those days i use to do that.  brings back all the memories.  back then i was chasing my dreams, now, i&#8217;m living my dreams.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/IMG_8461.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_8461\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-66446\" \/><br \/>\nnormal operations at the new bali airport.  surfers paradise.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/IMG_8458.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_8458\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"align none size-full wp-image-66447\" \/><br \/>\nright when i get off the plane, i was greeted by this young beautiful lady.  i actually felt pretty special.  haha.  she asked me if it was my first time to bali.  i told her i&#8217;ve been here many times since 1993.  then she said &#8220;oh, i wasn&#8217;t even born then.&#8221;  haha.  made me feel so old.  haha.<br \/>\nanother airplane ride today followed by a long car ride, then i&#8217;ll be in my final desitnation:  Nihiwatu!  <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>woke up early yesterday morning to a chilly morning in osaka. 6 degrees C?
