{"id":66676,"date":"2016-04-20T16:30:13","date_gmt":"2016-04-20T07:30:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/?p=66676"},"modified":"2016-04-20T16:30:13","modified_gmt":"2016-04-20T07:30:13","slug":"chinatown-in-kaimuki","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/?p=66676","title":{"rendered":"Chinatown in Kaimuki?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ok, it&#8217;s been 5 long days since i got food poisoned.  it wouldn&#8217;t get better probably because i didn&#8217;t want to take medicine.  so i just tried to tough it out.  day 1 when i started the 45 hour way back to hawaii.  i&#8217;d say the pain was 10 out of 10.  10 being the worst.  i seriously don&#8217;t know how they let me board the plane in the condition i was in.  i guess i&#8217;m a good actor.  haha.  i faked looking normal with my body shaking of the cold and my head sweating with burning fever.  i didn&#8217;t want them to deny me boarding.  anyway, everyday since, the level went down little by little.  today, the pain was 2 out of 10.  my body still felt super weak so i needed to get it back where i actually felt energetic enough to do something.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/IMG_8811.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_8811\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-66679\" \/><br \/>\nso i go to morning yoga.  tell my teacher to go easy on me because i still had poison in my body.  i sat in the back and did my best.  the downward dog pose gave me the heaviest head rushes.  but i kept on going.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/IMG_8810.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_8810\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-66678\" \/><br \/>\nafter class finished, i felt pretty good.  good enough to fly around the neighborhood coming home.  the wind on my face felt so good!<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/IMG_8814.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_8814\" width=\"640\" height=\"430\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-66681\" \/><br \/>\nif you drive around kaimuki recently, you will see huge houses like this being built.  what&#8217;s happening is  chinese investors are buying old single family houses for cash, knocking it down, and building oversized houses that hold 5 families or 30 people.  yes, all on the same lot.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/IMG_8815.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_8815\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-66682\" \/><br \/>\ni drive a block up the street and find an example.  this house on 10th avenue was my favorite house.  i actually wanted to buy it someday because it was so classic, cozy, and cool.  if i and a million bucks, i would have bought this house for sure.  but some chinese investor bought it and now it&#8217;s too late.  the bulldozer was already there tearing down this treasure.  i got depressed just watching it.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/IMG_8817.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_8817\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"align none size-full wp-image-66677\" \/><br \/>\nso i load the boards in the truck and went surfing till sunset.  now i feel better again.  it&#8217;s just so sad to see hawaii changing so fast.  kaimuki is becoming chinatown and it&#8217;s not just here, it&#8217;s island wide.  can somebody please lend me $100 billion so i can buy the island and keep it the exact way it supposed to be?
