Aloha Island Day 1:  Adjusting to Slow Life"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>opps, forgot to upload another blog.  i think i&#8217;m getting old.  haha.  this is from the day i got back from molokai.  anyway, check it out.<br \/>\ni totally needed a break.  thought about going to another country but didn&#8217;t feel like taking a long flight along with the jet lag.  so instead, i jumped on a flight and went 100 years back in time.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/IMG_0274.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_0274\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-68356\" \/><br \/>\nso excited to board an airplane whether it&#8217;s a jumbo jet or little propeller one like this.<br \/>\n<img size-full wp-image-68359\" \/><br \/>\nand right at take off, i seen the coolest rainbow out my front seat.  i knew it was going to be an awesome trip.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" \/>\nit&#8217;s so crazy that my nephew Isaiah was on the same flight???  what a small world!<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" \/>\nthis was my ride.  4&#215;4 truck just like a local.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/IMG_0301.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_0301\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-68354\" \/><br \/>\nthrew the stuff behind and headed to the east side.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/IMG_0302.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_0302\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-68355\" \/><br \/>\nevery time i see this sign, i take a deep breath, and put my mind and soul into a very slow life.  something totally opposite from oahu.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/IMG_0322.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_0322\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-68364\" \/><br \/>\nabsolutely not a single traffic light on this island.  the speed limit is up to you, and the blinkers are replaced by shakas.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/IMG_0319.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_0319\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-68363\" \/><br \/>\nthe beautiful east side.  totally untouched pure nature.  this is were i would spend the next 4 days.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/IMG_0318.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_0318\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-68365\" \/><br \/>\njust so excited to put my lifestyle into slow motion.  no watch, no work, no traffic, no assholes, no computer, and no wifi.  yeah!<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/IMG_0352.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_0352\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-68361\" \/><br \/>\nsurf, dive, fish, hunt, eat, love, and aloha.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/IMG_0348.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_0348\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-68358\" \/><br \/>\nfresh taro patches.  i ate some of the freshest poi in the world!<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/IMG_0349.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_0349\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-68360\" \/><br \/>\nthe people on molokai live a self sufficient lifestyle.  their refrigerator is in the ocean and the mountains.  you hunt what you want to eat, and you grow what you want to eat.  you won&#8217;t find a mcdonalds or starbucks here.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/IMG_0408.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_0408\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-68362\" \/><br \/>\nended up having a mellow first day.  just enjoyed nature and threw out some lines.  time standing still.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/IMG_0382.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_0382\" width=\"480\" height=\"640\" class=\"align none size-full wp-image-68352\" \/><br \/>\ni had a blast.  4 days of total relaxation and going with the flow.  now i&#8217;m back in honolulu and feel like a brand new person.  fully reset and ready to return to my fast life.  surfing tomorrow
