{"id":68597,"date":"2016-06-24T05:53:39","date_gmt":"2016-06-23T20:53:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/?p=68597"},"modified":"2016-06-24T05:53:39","modified_gmt":"2016-06-23T20:53:39","slug":"living-off-the-land","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/?p=68597","title":{"rendered":"Hunting and Fishing:  Living off the Land"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/IMG_1153.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_1153\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-68601\" \/><br \/>\nafter surfing for so long yesterday morning, i was starving!  so i thought i&#8217;d treat myself to a delicious japanese lunch.  went to Ginza Bairin because they have the best tonkatsu on the whole island.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/IMG_1152.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_1152\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-68606\" \/><br \/>\ni ordered the mixed katsu lunch special.  costs $13 for al this!  it&#8217;s all you can eat rice, miso soup, and cabbage.  so because i&#8217;m a surfer and like free things, i ordered extra of everything.  haha.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/IMG_1154.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_1154\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-68602\" \/><br \/>\ngoing back out into the ocean on such a beautiful day like this, it&#8217;s just pure excitement.  i&#8217;m always singing to myself on the way out.  usually the song &#8220;shimanchu nu takara&#8221; by begin.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/IMG_1160.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_1160\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-68598\" \/><br \/>\nand watching the waves with the best view.  cheering on some friends and enjoying the perfect summer days.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/IMG_0688.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_0688\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-68604\" \/><br \/>\ngosh, i miss molokai already.  i miss living off the land.  if you want to eat fish, you have to go catch your own.  if you want to eat meat, you have to hunt your own.  many different ways to hunt.  i was learning from true hawaiians living the island lifestyle.  and guess what?
