{"id":70640,"date":"2016-08-24T07:03:13","date_gmt":"2016-08-23T22:03:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/?p=70640"},"modified":"2016-08-24T07:03:13","modified_gmt":"2016-08-23T22:03:13","slug":"most-selfish-surfer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/?p=70640","title":{"rendered":"Going with the flow!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/IMG_2937.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_2937\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-70643\" \/><br \/>\ngosh, it was so great to eat my favorite Yamari Shirasu again in wakayama.  i could eat this every single day for breakfast.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/IMG_2938.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_2938\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-70645\" \/><br \/>\nand the wonderful Atsuko-san breakfast!  gosh, Kimurasan is a very lucky guy.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/IMG_3006.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_3006\" width=\"1478\" height=\"1108\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-70646\" \/><br \/>\ni booked a flight to sendai and was all ready to go.  then i get a photo message in the morning from Toda-san saying &#8220;the waves near my house is good!  it&#8217;s like Bowls but a right.  the sendai flight goes without me, i close my suitcase, jump on the train, and i&#8217;m there in 3 hours time.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/IMG_2974.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_2974\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-70642\" \/><br \/>\nthe transportation system amazes me.  you can go anywhere so easily in japan so it&#8217;s hard to miss the waves.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/IMG_2994.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_2994\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-70651\" \/><br \/>\nthe guys pick me up at the train station and we head straight to the beach.  waves getting bigger and perfect conditions.  lucky again!<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/IMG_2996.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_2996\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-70650\" \/><br \/>\nthis is local japanese style surfing culture.  only locals can surf here so being a foreigner and surfing here is unheard of.  thanks boys for sharing your amazing waves throughout all these wonderful years!<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/IMG_3008.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_3008\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-70649\" \/><br \/>\nhad a great surf, awesome talk, and good laugh&#8217;s.  then i was back on a train and headed to the big city of tokyo.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/IMG_3017.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_3017\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-70641\" \/><br \/>\nin hawaii, this sashimi platter would cost over $50.  but here, it only cost $12.  and it was delicious!<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/IMG_3015.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_3015\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-70648\" \/><br \/>\nit&#8217;s my first time i stayed at Shin-Okubo station.  wondering why there were so many korean shops here?
