{"id":71752,"date":"2016-09-29T05:09:35","date_gmt":"2016-09-28T20:09:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/?p=71752"},"modified":"2016-09-29T05:09:35","modified_gmt":"2016-09-28T20:09:35","slug":"uhu-deer-heli-and-bbq","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/?p=71752","title":{"rendered":"Uhu, Deer, Heli, and BBQ"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/IMG_4165.jpg\" alt=\"img_4165\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-71754\" \/><br \/>\nMaki-san had a lot of dreams i didn&#8217;t know of.  one is to be a helicopter pilot, and another was to go to molokai.  one down, one to go.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/IMG_4175.jpg\" alt=\"img_4175\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-71762\" \/><br \/>\nwe were so lucky that our pilot altered the flight course so we could fly over the Waihine Molokai to Oahu Canoe Race.  they just started and it was awesome to watch from the air.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/IMG_4185.jpg\" alt=\"img_4185\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-71756\" \/><br \/>\nthen he flew over the south coast, the first time for me!<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/IMG_4194.jpg\" alt=\"img_4194\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-71760\" \/><br \/>\nright when we land, the first thing we do is head to the beach.  the very white sandy beach.  the girls do their thing, and the boys do their thing.  this is what you call &#8220;relax time.&#8221;<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/IMG_4217.jpg\" alt=\"img_4217\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-71759\" \/><br \/>\nand when it gets a little hot, you go jump in the ocean and cool a little down.  private secluded beaches all to ourselves!<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/IMG_4231.jpg\" alt=\"img_4231\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-71755\" \/><br \/>\nToda-san dropped my off on the street up from our house.  they went to drive to a waterfall so i was diving by myself.  i shot my first fish when a huge 8&#8242; shark tried to eat it off my spear.  it&#8217;s bleeding so much as i put it on my float.  the aggressive shark circling me and trying to eat it.  i pull it away and protect my fish.  by that time, i was way out in the ocean thinking to myself &#8220;gosh, this shark is hungry.  i better get out of here.&#8221;  so i swim a few minutes away and continue diving.  yes, i know sharks can swim a few minutes away, but it&#8217;s just mental for me.  anyway, managed to get another uhu and that was enough for dinner so i went in.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/IMG_4233.jpg\" alt=\"img_4233\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-71757\" \/><br \/>\none of the uncles told me the sharks are very aggressive because they aren&#8217;t use to seeing people.  i was telling him how i was tugging my line to prevent the shark from eating our dinner.  he was laughing.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/IMG_4236.jpg\" alt=\"img_4236\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-71753\" \/><br \/>\nthen Franky grabbed the fish, and without saying anything, he started to clean it.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/IMG_4238.jpg\" alt=\"img_4238\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-71758\" \/><br \/>\nthen Dino started up the bbq and cooked some steaks.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/IMG_4241.jpg\" alt=\"img_4241\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"align none size-full wp-image-71763\" \/><br \/>\nDino also brought out a few pieces of deer meat.<br \/>\nwe sit down, listen to music, have a few beers, and enjoy our first night in molokai under the stars.  it was an awesome long day!
