{"id":72396,"date":"2016-10-19T05:20:20","date_gmt":"2016-10-18T20:20:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/?p=72396"},"modified":"2016-10-19T05:20:20","modified_gmt":"2016-10-18T20:20:20","slug":"surf-into-the-sunset","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/?p=72396","title":{"rendered":"Surf into the Sunset"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/Screen-Shot-2016-10-18-at-2.29.57-PM.jpg\" alt=\"screen-shot-2016-10-18-at-2-29-57-pm\" width=\"640\" height=\"363\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-72402\" \/><br \/>\nthere was only one place in town yesterday afternoon that had chest high perfect waves.  a place that catches the east wind swell.  everywhere else was flat, but not were we surfed.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/Screen-Shot-2016-10-18-at-2.30.29-PM.jpg\" alt=\"screen-shot-2016-10-18-at-2-30-29-pm\" width=\"640\" height=\"358\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-72399\" \/><br \/>\nYamaguchi-san knows and surfs with all the boys at Wavy Surf.  so a friend of the Wavy crew is a friend of mine.  we surfed for almost 4 hours straight and i couldn&#8217;t believe how empty it was.  perfect for us to practice!<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/Screen-Shot-2016-10-18-at-2.34.21-PM.jpg\" alt=\"screen-shot-2016-10-18-at-2-34-21-pm\" width=\"640\" height=\"366\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-72401\" \/><br \/>\nYamaguchi-san told me he doesn&#8217;t like to surf backside.  so guess what?  i took him to surf only backside.  i explained to him that if you can&#8217;t surf backside good, you can&#8217;t surf frontside good.  so we practiced doing some backside cutbacks.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/Screen-Shot-2016-10-18-at-2.32.23-PM.jpg\" alt=\"screen-shot-2016-10-18-at-2-32-23-pm\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-72400\" \/><br \/>\nafter a few waves, he was getting it down perfectly.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/Screen-Shot-2016-10-18-at-2.32.32-PM.jpg\" alt=\"screen-shot-2016-10-18-at-2-32-32-pm\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-72403\" \/><br \/>\nand when you get it down perfectly, you will smile perfectly.
