good friday morning. yesterday was hot and today supposed to be hotter. and twice as humid. oh boy…. so far, it’s been such a great summer for weather but the worst for waves. everywhere the waves are flat, even in chiba. i’ve been here for almost 3 weeks and surfed head high waves once. come monday morning, i’m out of here…. just hope i can make it through the weekend… i would pay a hundred dollars right now if i could surf waist high on shore diamond head for 1 hour. and i ain’t kidding…. still no cell phone so today should be pretty peaceful. have a nice hot day!!!

\nnot too many japanese tried sawara or “ono” sashimi before. they usually make it nitsuke style here. i like it both ways because the meat is so oily. no matter how you prepare it, it just melts in your mouth…. oishikatta….

\nand last, it was pretty windy in shonan yesterday. the waves were flat but that didn’t stop this kind of surfer. lady kite surfer heading to the beach over the bridge at banyu. pretty cool…
