had an amazing time with Saori-san yesterday. she a long boarder and didn’t think she could shortboard, but i knew she could. so that’s why i only took a shortboard. she had no choice. and once she caught her first wave, she was having double the fun!

towards the end of our session, Saori-san didn’t want to go in. she wanted to surf and surf.

we got super hungry so ended up at Pieology.

our custom salad.

and our custom pizza. both really good!

then we took a drive to the wild east side. starting off at Sandy Beach.

the waves looked super good and there were only a few guys out.

then we went snorkeling at my favorite spot on the island. freaking beautiful!

i told Saori-san, “the only way in the water is to jump off the cliff.” so she jumped!

and when she got in, a big wave came. relax!!! haha.

it’s the second time i took her free diving and i could see her getting better and better. more relaxed and better form.

she even stayed on the bottom taking photos. so cool in the underwater world!

this is a popular fishing spot so when ever i dive, i try to clean up the ocean littered by fishermen. lead is not good for the ocean!

in 45 minutes, i found all this lead. felt good to get a good workout and do a good thing for our precious ocean.
