Seth Moniz made it to the quarter finals.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/IMG_7410.png\" alt=\"img_7410\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-74229\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Josh Moniz kept on going and going.  making it all the way to the final 4.   along the way, even taking out a former Pipeline Master.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/IMG_7414.png\" alt=\"img_7414\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-74224\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Josh ended up getting 3rd place in the final!!!  omg, that is an incredible accomplishment today, BUT, missing it by one spot!   i was happy, and yet sad.  a day of mixed emotions.  but hey Josh, i&#8217;m so proud of you!  your day will come and i know that for a fact!<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/Screen-Shot-2016-12-13-at-2.53.47-PM.jpg\" alt=\"screen-shot-2016-12-13-at-2-53-47-pm\" width=\"640\" height=\"370\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-74220\" \/><\/p>\n<p>ended up surfing this afternoon at Diamond Head.  omg, the conditions were unbelievable!  when we paddled out, there were only 7 guys out.  we had every set to ourselves.  then little by little, it got crowded and crowded.  i counted 50 surfers in the water.  30 guys and 20 girls.  i felt like i was in a night club or something!<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/Screen-Shot-2016-12-13-at-2.52.28-PM.jpg\" alt=\"screen-shot-2016-12-13-at-2-52-28-pm\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-74227\" \/><\/p>\n<p>good to see Barry out there every day.  you have to love this guy for taking care of diamond head for the surfers.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/Screen-Shot-2016-12-13-at-3.00.43-PM.jpg\" alt=\"screen-shot-2016-12-13-at-3-00-43-pm\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-74232\" \/><\/p>\n<p>then the sun started to set and the golden colors came alive!<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/Screen-Shot-2016-12-13-at-2.54.58-PM.jpg\" alt=\"screen-shot-2016-12-13-at-2-54-58-pm\" width=\"640\" height=\"364\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-74230\" \/><\/p>\n<p>what an amazing day!  so stoked to be surfing again!<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/IMG_7417.jpg\" alt=\"img_7417\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-74221\" \/><\/p>\n<p>then watched the beautiful sunset.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/IMG_7418.jpg\" alt=\"img_7418\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-74225\" \/><\/p>\n<p>then saw the moon peaking out behind the cloud.  watching the sun set to the west, and the moon rise to the east?
