we were on the way to the pipeline masters this morning. but first, i had a surprise for Asayama-san and Nao-san! so i pulled up to haleiwa to check the waves. i said “perfect! i brought some short boards for you guys so lets go surfing!” the looked at me puzzled. haha. i didn’t tell them i brought the boards so they were really surprised. and very nervous.

but after the nerves went away, we had the greatest time ever. surfing north shore for their first time! so funny!

then we pulled up to the pipe masters and it was packed already. perfect waves for the worlds best surfers.

thousands of people on the beach.

but if you’re with me, it’s always VIP style. we were treated like kings and queens all day long.

hanging out with my family too. good to see Kelia back in town. Asayama-san getting the precious signature.

we stated all the way to the end! drove back to town in the traffic listening to my japanese playlist in my iTunes. i got some classics!

went to waimanalo to buy hawaii’s best lilikoi butter. only happens on the weekends.

this is old style hawaiian. this is how hawaii use to be a long time ago and i’m stoked people still do this.
