{"id":76132,"date":"2017-02-12T05:41:14","date_gmt":"2017-02-11T20:41:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/?p=76132"},"modified":"2017-02-12T05:41:14","modified_gmt":"2017-02-11T20:41:14","slug":"honor-and-salute","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/?p=76132","title":{"rendered":"Honor and Salute!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/IMG_9910.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_9910\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-76134\" \/><\/p>\n<p>there are rules in hawaii but nobody seems to be following them.  for example, you aren&#8217;t supposed to park for more than 6 hours in this parking lot.  why?  because it&#8217;s for surfers!  but you get people that work all day in waikiki parking here everyday so us surfers can&#8217;t find a spot most of the times.  there are signs posted everywhere but nobody cares.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/IMG_9911.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_9911\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-76139\" \/><\/p>\n<p>so pulling up yesterday and seeing my tire marked brought joy to my eyes.  it means they are trying to enforce the rules.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/IMG_9912.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_9912\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-76133\" \/><\/p>\n<p>they chalk the tire, mark the time, come back 6 hours later and give tickets if the same car is still there.  that&#8217;s cool, but i just better remember not to surf for more than 6 hours when the waves are good.  haha.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/IMG_9744.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_9744\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-76135\" \/><\/p>\n<p>when i went to my Grandpa&#8217;s funeral, i seen the military pull up.  i was confused???  then they brought out the american flag and gave my Grandpa full honor.  i had chicken skin.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/IMG_9758.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_9758\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-76136\" \/><\/p>\n<p>then i found out right there that my Grandpa is a retired Army Veteran.  omg!  i didn&#8217;t even know that my Grandpa volunteered for the military during the war.  yes, he volunteered while we were having the war!!!  and he never told me about it.  it&#8217;s his way of honoring the United States of America for his freedom.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/IMG_9781.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_9781\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"align none size-full wp-image-76137\" \/><\/p>\n<p>i only see this kind of stuff on tv.  now, i got to experience it because of my brave Grandpa Fukunaga.  now i&#8217;m even more prouder of him!
