omg, the conditions today couldn’t have been any better. absolutely gorgeous! look how beautiful this photo is!

when i woke up this morning, i knew it was going to be a beautiful day just by looking at the cool frost on my window. that means cool winds clearing out all the vog we’ve been having.

for the past few weeks, you couldn’t even see Diamond Head. now that our trade winds are back, you will see it clearly from miles away. the cleanest air in the world right now.
\n\"IMG_0903\"<\/p>\n

after our long surf session, we went to eat lunch, followed by some cool shave ice.
\n\"IMG_0904\"<\/p>\n

Yoshiko-san ordered the green tea, i ordered the milk tea. both so good!
\n\"IMG_0905\"<\/p>\n

since it was Yoshiko-san’s first time to Hawaii, i took her to my favorite side of the island. it’s unbelievable how green the mountains were!

stopped by the gun range and almost blew out our ears!
\n\"IMG_0908\"<\/p>\n

right as i told her, “you might get lucky and see a whale today,” we seen 3 whales right in front of us. it was so beautiful!

i could even see the whole island of Molokai, including Kalaupapa. it’s the first time i could see it so clearly.
\n\"IMG_0914\"<\/p>\n

then we went to Sandy Beach and couldn’t believe how beautiful it was. it was like a painting!
\n\"IMG_0915\"<\/p>\n

clean water with perfect waves. and also another whale right out in front.
\n\"IMG_0919\"<\/p>\n

turned the corner and hung out at Makapuu for a while. another whale right out front.
\n\"IMG_0924\"<\/p>\n

then ended the day with a coffee and tea at the coolest cafe.

talked story, laughed, and enjoyed the beautiful view. no whales in front of us, but still a perfect way to end a perfect day. thank you Yoshiko-san for the awesome time! <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
