{"id":85584,"date":"2017-12-08T18:10:10","date_gmt":"2017-12-08T09:10:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/?p=85584"},"modified":"2017-12-08T18:10:10","modified_gmt":"2017-12-08T09:10:10","slug":"the-discovery-channel","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/?p=85584","title":{"rendered":"The Discovery Channel"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/Screen-Shot-2017-12-07-at-4.56.10-PM.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1280\" height=\"722\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-85592\" \/><\/p>\n<p>it was a beautiful day as we were heading down to Barbers Point for a dive.  super clean water and as good as a diving day could get.  then we seen something big splashing in the water so we all jumped in to see what it was.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/Screen-Shot-2017-12-07-at-4.52.16-PM.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1280\" height=\"721\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-85594\" \/><\/p>\n<p>a huge school of bait fish and then the biggest freaking Manta Ray i&#8217;ve ever seen in my life swam right up to us.  i watch The Discovery Channel all the time but never seen a Manta the size of this one.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/Screen-Shot-2017-12-07-at-4.54.33-PM.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1280\" height=\"721\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-85588\" \/><\/p>\n<p>it kept on swimming around us enjoying the beautiful world.  sometimes even looking at me right in the eye.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/Screen-Shot-2017-12-07-at-4.55.21-PM.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1280\" height=\"800\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-85591\" \/><\/p>\n<p>the wing span was wider than Mayuki.  yeah, i was speechless watching this amazing creature swim right by us.  it was huge!<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/Screen-Shot-2017-12-07-at-4.51.04-PM.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1280\" height=\"718\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-85585\" \/><\/p>\n<p>we went back to business, which was diving.  my new diving technique is working pretty good.  i drop to the bottom, close my eyes for 30 seconds, then when i open it slowly, there are fish all over the place.  i choose my dinner and take the shot right in the head.  pretty easy.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/Screen-Shot-2017-12-07-at-4.49.50-PM.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1280\" height=\"718\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-85593\" \/><\/p>\n<p>the new Ama-san named Maki-san.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/Screen-Shot-2017-12-07-at-4.56.57-PM.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1280\" height=\"754\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-85586\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Maki-san caught her first ever red fish!  she was so stoked!  now she&#8217;ll be bringing home the Kumu&#8217;s too.  congratulations girl!<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/Screen-Shot-2017-12-07-at-4.51.21-PM.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1280\" height=\"721\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-85590\" \/><\/p>\n<p>both these Kumu&#8217;s will be steamed with ginger and green onion.  then will be enjoyed at a wonderful dinner with special people.  can&#8217;t beat that!<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/Screen-Shot-2017-12-07-at-4.54.06-PM.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1280\" height=\"779\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-85587\" \/><\/p>\n<p>i will never forget this day.  it makes me love nature even more.  i&#8217;ve seen a lot of things, but i want so see more and more.  it&#8217;s a beautiful world out there!
