good morning. been back to hawaii only for a few days and soaking up this beautiful weather. it’s been perfectly sunny with cool trade winds. and the waves are super fun! even thought the stock market in new york is crashing again, things in hawaii couldn’t be better. tourist is booming, people are everywhere, and the aloha spirit lives on. it’s cool going around and people you don’t even know say “hey, what’s up bro.” cool place to live.
\nnew south swell coming. hopefully it gets big enough for big rights. my nephews have been free diving and that makes me happy. i know for sure that they will be charging even harder this north shore season. i’m setting up a few more trips this year. the tickets to japan are crazy now! $1,450 round trip? and all flights are FULL. what? i might have to paddle my surfboard over for the next typhoon.
\nthe other day, i met the 2 coolest sisters. it was their first time surfing and we had such a blast. from the time i picked them up, to the time i dropped them off, we were laughing and laughing. laughing so hard that my stomach was getting sore. just really bright and super outgoing girls. i also learned a few kansai words.
\nYABANAI? know what that means? haha.
