i was really impressed by the Wasabi’s crew. super young and super focused. each member had a specific task so it was total teamwork. Captain Jimmy told me to sit back and watch, so that’s what i did. just by racing around Diamond Head, i learned so many thing. it was a totally different world than what i’m use to.

people think i’m crazy when i drive Mayuki. people will think i’m more crazy when i start sailing because the more wind, the more speed. expect me to be out on the windiest days…
\n\"\"<\/p>\n

these 2 young ladies impressed me a lot. they could read the ocean better than me. they would yell “PUFF!” which is a gust of wind coming up. and i’d look out and see nothing. they said the could tell by the different shades in the ocean. i felt like a baby entering the open ocean for the first time…
\n\"\"<\/p>\n

i can’t wait till next Friday night races! i want to learn more so i can be the Captain of a race too! but i’m not sailing around Diamond Head, i’m sailing around the world!!!

now let’s talk about this morning which is Saturday. good to see some of the boys ripping up the Bowl. Edrik Baldwin on a nice one.

i ended up foiling Bowls and getting a lot more comfortable in the lineup. i still feel like a beginner on the foil but practice is the key to getting better. someday i’ll be riding waves out there just like i ride my shortboard. hopefully soon…<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
