OMG!<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/IMG_8262.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1280\" height=\"853\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-92907\" \/><\/p>\n<p>she was paddling hard from the start to the finish.  not a single break for 7.5 hours straight.  hard to believe it but it&#8217;s true.  Isaiah and i were tripping out.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/IMG_8095.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"853\" height=\"1280\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-92905\" \/><\/p>\n<p>so stoked to see another Japanese escort boat supporting Japan.  gosh, i wish i had a Japanese flag too!  i would have raised it up above Mayuki high and proud!<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/IMG_8290.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1280\" height=\"853\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-92913\" \/><\/p>\n<p>as we approached Oahu, we all know this is the most hardest part of the race.  the current is going backwards, the backwash is crashing off the cliffs like a washing machine, and you&#8217;re still far away from the fishing line.  so close, but yet so far..<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/IMG_8341.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1280\" height=\"853\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-92909\" \/><\/p>\n<p>as Mao-san was approaching the finish line, i was getting chicken skin.  a freaking huge accomplishment for his young water woman.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/IMG_7052-e1533006536611.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"480\" height=\"640\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-92910\" \/><\/p>\n<p>want to thank Maki-san for being at the finish line to greet the champion.  yes, i said champion!  or should i say World Champion?<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/IMG_7051.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"960\" height=\"1706\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-92906\" \/><\/p>\n<p>as the results came in towards the end of the race, we found out Mao-san won her division!  omg, she is the Woman&#8217;s Paddleboard Stock Open WORLD CHAMPION!!!!!<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/IMG_6970.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-92911\" \/><\/p>\n<p>John John Florence and his waterman teammate both took turns.  they paddled their hardest and did it in 6 hours 20 minutes.
