{"id":98187,"date":"2019-01-22T05:21:06","date_gmt":"2019-01-21T20:21:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/?p=98187"},"modified":"2019-01-22T05:21:06","modified_gmt":"2019-01-21T20:21:06","slug":"paradise-island-cancelled","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/?p=98187","title":{"rendered":"Paradise Island Cancelled&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-98189\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/IMG_1590.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/>\u00a0want to thank Ohata-san for all the treats! \u00a0Japanese pizza, yeah!!!<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-98191\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/Screen-Shot-2019-01-21-at-12.28.48-PM-663x373.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"663\" height=\"373\" \/>\u00a0i can&#8217;t describe how good it was to stand up after so long. \u00a0my foot was feeling better, my mind is healed, and i could actually feel &#8220;FREE&#8221; again! \u00a0so i came home and was looking forward to my Philippine Dream trip. \u00a0i had my tickets organized, hotels lined up, friend in the Philippines buying supplies for the island, \u00a0 and i was ready to leave this afternoon straight after work. \u00a0a remote jungle island with nobody around for hours was sounding really good. \u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-98190\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/IMG_1597.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/>\u00a0then late last night after being all packed and ready to go, i looked again at my cut and told myself &#8220;um, better rethink this trip.&#8221; \u00a0going to the jungle with diseases, mosquitos, malaria, and other crazy things out of my control. \u00a0then stopping over in Manila which isn&#8217;t the cleanest is kind of risky. \u00a0i&#8217;ve had little tiny cuts and even mosquito bites get infected in the Philippines before. \u00a0 so i close my eyes, take a deep breath, and just cancel my trip. \u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-98188\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/IMG_1596.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/>i crumple up my itinerary and throw it in the rubbish can. \u00a0am i bummed? \u00a0absolutely not. \u00a0 things happen for a reason and i&#8217;m a true believer of that. \u00a0maybe my propeller plane would have crashed? \u00a0maybe i would have gotten attacked by a lion in the jungle?
