\u00a0 it was a perfect time to teach Seira-chan to transfer her weight between her back and front foot. \u00a0 so now that she&#8217;s pushing harder on her back foot, she&#8217;s gaining twice the speed. \u00a0\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-98866\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/Screen-Shot-2019-02-14-at-10.59.46-AM-663x371.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"663\" height=\"371\" \/>\u00a0and when doing a turn, push the back harder, and lighten up on the front. \u00a0just like this! \u00a0arms, knees, and eyes are perfect on this cutback! \u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-98867\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/Screen-Shot-2019-02-14-at-10.54.51-AM-663x373.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"663\" height=\"373\" \/>\u00a0there were so many unridden waves so i had to go on a few too! \u00a0i can&#8217;t believe we had the whole spot to ourselves all morning long! \u00a0 <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-98865\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/Screen-Shot-2019-02-14-at-10.56.57-AM-663x373.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"663\" height=\"373\" \/>Seira-chan is a very smart girl. \u00a0she listens carefully and does exactly what i tell her to do on the next wave. \u00a0by the time we finish boot camp for the next month, she will an amazing surfer! \u00a0\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-98857\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/IMG_1975.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/>\u00a0we come in from Rockpiles and go straight to Kewalos. \u00a0this is where world class surfers are made. \u00a0guys like Joshua, Seth, and Kelia Moniz, Carissa Moore, Ezekiel Lau, Keanu Asing, and many other World Tour surfers. \u00a0 this this the training ground!<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-98856\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/IMG_1981.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/>\u00a0Seira-chan gets really nervous surfing a new place. \u00a0in order to fix that, i tell her to jump off the rock, paddle out, and surf by herself. \u00a0 i wanted her to feel as nervous as you can get. \u00a0then there will be nothing more to be nervous about. \u00a0haha! \u00a0 it worked because she overcame her nerves in 5 minutes and surfed amazing! \u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-98858\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/IMG_2014.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/>\u00a0us hungry surfers went for some garlic chicken and panang curry for lunch. \u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-98860\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/IMG_2017.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/>\u00a0then some bubble milk tea in Downtown. \u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-98864\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/IMG_2021.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/>\u00a0then whale and wave watching at Diamond Head. \u00a0i asked Seira-chan, &#8220;where do you want to surf next?&#8221; \u00a0she said &#8220;Kewalos.&#8221;\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-98859\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/IMG_1993.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/>\u00a0and she chose the right place because it had to be the best wave on the island today. \u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-98868\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/Screen-Shot-2019-02-14-at-11.03.27-AM-663x387.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"663\" height=\"387\" \/>and guess who was out? \u00a0yup, Kelia Moniz! \u00a0so lucky again!!!<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-98862\" src=\"https:\/\/go-naminori.com\/kirbyfukunaga\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/Screen-Shot-2019-02-14-at-11.04.33-AM-663x442.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"663\" height=\"442\" \/>Seira-chan getting comfortable at any spot in any conditions. \u00a0this is how you become a good surfer!
