Close Second

Jeannie sent me this photo from her window looking out at Molokai and I actually got homesick.  It’s crazy that I still feel like the more leave Hawaii, the more I miss it.

Still making my way home.  Heading to the airport in Taipei looking out the window and people watching.  This guy has an umbrella protecting his iPhone from the rain.  Good idea.

Flying on an airplane is the highlight of any trip.  It’s the only time I’m fully focused on my thoughts.  No distractions and a great time to process things.

Transit in KIX.  Picking up goodies to take back to Hawaii.

First stop was at En with Kimura-san and family.  Japan definitely has the best food in the world, but Taiwan is a close second.  Love um both…

Ready and Loaded

Road trip back to Taipei.  The long journey back to Hawaii.  Scored!

The Long Drive Back…

Super cool surfers.  Kimura-san and Mori-san.  Mori-san was the one that invited us and showed us the East coast of Taiwan well over 10 years ago.  He knows everything about this place so most of the waves we scored was because of him.  Thank you Mori-san!

Making the long 6 hour drive back to Taipei.  Stopping along the way eating and eating.  The breakfast pancakes here are amazing.  And only cost $2.

After lots of walking, it was time for a foot massage, Taiwan style.

Drinking a boba tea everyday is mandatory.  A big selection that keeps you wanting to try more and more.

When we passed by this street, I already knew what was going to happen.

What do you think?  You have this cool sculpture and a 72 year old child with you.

Yes, like I said, I knew exactly what was going to happen.  So no, I’m not surprised.  Haha.
