Stuntman: Lilo, Stitch, and Kaira!

This past weekend was Disney’s Lily and Stitch’s global premiere.  Did you guys know that Kaira Moniz was Lilo’s stunt double?  I heard the family talking about before I but wasn’t sure how involved Kaira was.  She was only 6 years old when they started filming.

This is how our family operates.  The premier was at Kahala Mall theaters so I get the group chat last week.  The replies started coming in as we all start reserving our own tickets online.  When I got to the theatre, I saw my entire family there.  We booked out the entire theatre!

We booked a total of 60 seats so basically the whole theatre was just us!   Micah, Kelia, Isaiah, Joshua, and Seth Moniz all there, along with my brothers, sister, friends, and all the kids.

Then the movie started and guess who this is?  No it’s not the actress Lilo, yes, it’s Kaira!!!  She did the free diving in the movie and I didn’t know she could even free dive.  The whole theatre started screaming!  Well, our whole family started screaming!  Haha.

Kaira also did the surfing too.  I haven’t gone to see a movie in years and this one was surely worth it.  So stoked to see my grand-niece surfing with Stitch.

Of course we all stayed till the end credits.  Remember the name Kaira Moniz because she’s going to be a Hollywood star someday!

Cutback Boot Camp

I thought this morning was going to be small but there were actually some really good clean waves.  As we were paddling out, Kyle took off on this really nice right.

Then it was Ogane-san’s turn and he was so stoked on how good the waves were.  He caught some of the best waves of his life this morning.

Then we started our cutback Boot Camp.  Of course I’m yelling loud from behind.  Haha.

Cutback NOW!!!  That’s what I was yelling and that’s what Ogane-san did.  I think I actually scared him on this first time.  Haha.  Anyway, it was a beautiful morning at Ala Moana!!!
