November 1, 2025 Hawaii Surf Report

Took Mayuki out yesterday afternoon for a speedy ride!

The weather has been perfect.  Warm and cool!

The best ride of the day!

Good morning 3:20am.
North shore 4-6′ and good.
Ala Moana chest high sets and good.
Diamond Head shoulder high and bumpy.
Trade winds at 15mph.
Sunny and warm.
Going to the sea.
Have a wonderful day!

Biggest Wave Fishing

Yesterday once more:  Round 2 mid morning session with Imai-san.  He surfed the biggest waves of his life!  Staying calm and cool the whole way.

Chest high, light winds, blue sky, uncrowded, and very warm.  These are the best days to surf.

We had a lot of fun surfing and laughing.  It’s so cool to see surfers so happy!

We were practicing “FLOW.”  It’s all about keeping clam and letting the ocean take you where it wants to.  This is exactly how to do that.

Perfect winter days continue.

I took the kids for dinner and night fishing.  This is where it starts for every kid and if one of these two kids turn into a fishermen, I would be so happy.  If both of them do, I’d jump for joy!

Fishing is really good for kids because it teaches them about patience.  And when a fish finally bites the hook, it’s the most exciting ever!

Rainbows Rides

Another beautiful start to the day.  The conditions couldn’t have been any better.

Shin-san was ripping!  Riding his Matchi shaped 4 fin board and flying.

Then the rain came and soon after, the rainbow!

Shin-san enjoying the rainbow ride.  One of the best photos I took in a while.

Looking healthier, happier, and surfing much better.  Keep it up Shin-san!

The waves were so good that I was hunting and hunting around for waves too.  It was so fun!

Dean on the left.  A nice little winter south swell for Halloween.

No rain, no rainbows!

Came home and cut up some sashimi.  Joshua caught a big ahi so this is just a small piece of it.  Sashimi for today and poke for tomorrow!
