Wild Surf

Yesterday afternoon was so good.  Perfect overhead waves as the swell started to fill in.  Sunny sky, warm water, and cool trade winds.

13 year old Taka-kun is a very brave boy.  He was charging the sets fearlessly.  It’s his first time surfing in Hawaii and this was his introduction to Hawaii as he just arrived in the morning!

A good surfer boy and a young gentlemen.  This kids going to get really good!

Nakata-san is a great surfer.  He was charging the sets and making every one.  A great role model for his son.

We had a great time riding the big waves yesterday.  Welcome to Hawaii boys!

Happy Birthday Mateus!  You are always going to be my cutie grand nephew forever.

This morning was good too.  Low tide so the waves were breaking a lot faster.  Faster and wilder in the morning low tide, and slower and easier in the afternoon high tide.  Both sessions were amazing!

Carter with the super clean bottom turn.

This afternoon round 2:  Surfing with the boys again.  Much bigger than yesterday.  Wild surf session!

Good morning 2:40am.
Ala Moana shoulder high and good.
Diamond Head head high and bumpy.
Trade winds at 15mph.
Sunny and warm.
Going to the sea.
Have a wonderful day!

Dream Sushi Superyacht?

Round 1:  Perfect chest high sets with flawless conditions.  No jellyfish today.

Mighty Mouse with the perfect bottom turn.

I can see progress every day.  We’ve been surfing different spots and that’s been helping the progress a lot.  Much better wave knowledge.

There was this huge luxury superyacht approaching Oahu this morning.  I’ve seen it somewhere before.

Yes, it’s the Nausicaa owned by Japanese billionaire Yusaku Maezawa.  It’s a brand new 114m/375′ yacht that cost $350 million.  There is a helicopter pad on the back, and also a sushi bar inside.  I wonder how much it would cost to charter it for a surf trip?  I just put that on my bucket list.
