Blue Barrels from the Back

Round 1:  Bowls was really fun this morning.  Super clean conditions.

Kawika with the big spray turn.

I have the best binoculars that the US Military uses.  I can see into your eyes if you’re surfing out at Bowls.

Round 2:  Afternoon Boot Camp was amazing.  Good waves, good vibes, and good rides.  Mighty Mouse on her 5’10 surfing at her best.

Photos off my desktop that will be deleted.  Lobster season starts in September!  Get ready for the best sashimi in the world.

This year started off so calm.  New Years Day 2026 with Tokura-san was a great way to kick off this amazing year we’ve been having.

Legends.  Tony Moniz, Jeannie Chesser, and Tammy Moniz.

I have no idea what I was doing in this photo.  Maybe I was celebrating this best summer ever we’ve been having.

I park Mayuki right here and this is the view I get from behind the waves.  This wave was 6′ Hawaiian scale so that means it’s 6′ measured from the back of the wave.  That is equal to 12′ from the front.  So yes, this day was a day for big blue barrels!   More summer swells on the way!

Sunny and Blue Afternoon Session

Ueda-san on an afternoon set at Bowls.

Shiina-san surfing with style.

Super stoked to surf with the boys in Blue Hawaii.

Ueda-san’s nice bottom turn.

Shiina-san almost barreled.

Mighty Mouse flying.

New board, new life.

Rocky attacking the lip.

Dove rash guard with hood and visor is the best protection.

Good balance.

Nice shaka.
