Creamy Avocado Taco Rice

Round 1:  Early morning Bowls.  Chest high and so good!  Hashimoto-san finally got some real swell!

This is as perfect as you will see the ocean.  So glassy!

Bowls lefts was so good!  The boys were ripping.

Hashimoto-san caught a nice set at Bowls and rode it all the way.

Nice cutback along the way!

Round 2:  We wanted to surf more so we surfed more.  The afternoon was even better than the morning.

Very warm, clean water, and nice flow.

This girl was out there ripping.

Went over to the house I grew up in Hawaii Kai to search for avocados.  Our family grew up eating these creamy avocados for decades.

All I took was enough for this week.  There is plenty more where that came from.

The first time I ate taco rice was in Okinawa around 30 years ago.  Ever since, that’s been one of my favorites.  Top it off with home grown avocados and you got yourself the best taco rice in Hawaii.

Yesterday Round 2: Family Time

Round 2:  Tyler feeling comfortable and confident.  Riding long waves and paddling back out by himself.

Great balance and great kid!

Papa Kota-san on the longboard making it look easy.

Another beautiful family day in paradise.

Keep on surfing Tyler!
