Monkey Business

I get really excited when I see wild monkeys because it’s something you can’t experience in Hawaii.  On the road to a surf break in Taiwan, there were some monkeys sitting in the field.  So we stopped and I got out my camera.

To the right of them was a banana patch.  Monkeys are known to be very smart so we kind of knew what they were up to.

Sure enough, one of the bigger monkeys grabbed a bunch of bananas from the tree and started to eat it.

So cool watching them pick one at a time, peel it, and eat it.

I love watching things in nature like this.

Going to the sea.
Have a wonderful day!

Chose Properly

Getting an out of season south swell in December is a treat.  Can’t complain about anything.  The waves were perfect, the conditions were perfect, BUT, there were some big logs in the lineup.  Hitting this would be bad.  John navigating around this one.

This wave Barak was on totally barreled.  Usually he would pull into the barrel and make it but he knew better.  Why take a chance of a big log landing on your head?  Smart surfing.

Dean on a clean steep wave.  There still should be some swell tomorrow and the good thing is that every surf spot on the island will be good.  Chose properly.
