wow, was today chilly or what? i was pretty cold all day. maybe because i have a cold? but i didn’t feel like doing anything. just a lazy day. oh, i forgot, i went to nuuanu to cut the grass and that’s why i’m more sick? i’m in really warm clothes but still feeling cold. i’m glad the waves are small or i’d be suffering…

finally have some time to play with my spearguns. got new ones and getting rid of old ones. i usually buy used guns so i can use them, and sell them without losing too much. so i was sitting on my table changing the line, and making new bands for all my guns….

then the modifications include a wendell ko open muzzel, pinned shaft, JBL track, and new shaft line and bands. over $100 in modifications…

this gun has no scratches and is in perfect condition. the first $250 takes it. oh wait, i might know one of my friends in okinawa who wants it. well, first comes first served….

but just because you have a speargun, that doesn’t mean you can spear fish. you still have to know where to look. my sister bought all her kids new spears for christmas. i can’t wait to take them diving….
**by the way, the missing diver they were looking for is alive. he swam in and walked home. oh my gosh!!! who’s going to pay the thousands of dollars in search and rescue fees??? come on divers, dive responsible. if you swim in on your own, let your dive buddies know…

Fence Fishing…

good morning. 8am aloha friday. small waves around the island. was just watching the news and the coast guard is searching for a diver off kahala who went missing yesterday. his friends didn’t know he was missing until they were in the car driving home. i hope he comes back safely… anyway, no surf to talk about. not the greatest conditions for diving, just another day to relax. 5 day until the new year and i still have things i want to accomplish in 2008. so i’m going to work on that. have a nice and safe day…

wow, i just heard of some shocking news out of japan. Iijima Ai was found dead in her tokyo apartment. they suspect suicide. when i first went to japan, i use to watch this late night program called “Gilgamesh Night” and Iijima Ai was the T-back queen on the show. i thought she was pretty hot and was her #1 fan. haha. turned out she was an adult porn star. she then quit the porn business and became a television celebrity. yeah, i thought it was pretty weird for her to go from porn star to celebrity in such a conservative country like japan. but what ever works right. anyway, she retired last year and now this. it’s a pretty sad story. there will probably be a lot of unanswered questions…
