Kat LIVE in Okinawa….
Angela Aki?
good morning. small waves around the island. heavy rain coming tomorrow. go rent some DVD’s, stay home, and relax. that’s what i’m going to do…. have a nice day!!!

there is this small japanese restaurant on a side street near my house. it’s called ???…. wait, i better not say. it’s so underground that i don’t want it to get crowded. anyway, the owner is from okinawa and we use to have parties there all the time. i haven’t been there in 3 years so last night was a good night to go back and enjoy the okinawan style. the master has always been an entertainer….

the restaurant is kind of small so customers talk to each other all the time. the table next to us happened to be angela aki’s mom and dad. they were celebrating mom’s birthday. they seemed to be cool people that were having a great time…

this is angela aki’s dad doing the okinawan dance. i don’t know if i’m supposed to post these kind of photos on my blog. will i get into trouble???

had another great night with great friends. toda-san, takami-san, eri-chan, and maki-san. arigato gozaimasu!!! please keep this restaurant a secret… thanks… by the way, i woke up with a sore jaw from too much laughing… what a blast it was last night….

and for all of you who don’t know who angela aki is. she’s a super big star in japan. a really famous singer. i listened to her music before and now i was there to celebrate her mom’s birthday, and see her dad do an awesome okinawan dance. when in hawaii, you never know who your going to bump into….
Famous Dogs…

i’ve been feeling kind of helpless recently. it’s hard to do anything with one eye and one hand. i can’t do computer work, can’t watch tv, can’t exercise, can’t lift heavy things, can’t drive, can’t wash under my left arm pit, and can’t even wipe my ass. i feel like i have to get into the ocean sometime soon to clean my body and soul. i was looking at some goggles and i think it will work. maybe going to have to jump in at kaimana beach or something. i just hope me eye doctor doesn’t find out. he’ll be pissed!!!
but you know the good lesson i’m learning now? it’s that i still have one good eye, i still have one good hand, and my mind is still pretty dam happy. it could be way worst and i know that. some people in this world can’t see, some people in this world don’t have arms. i’m really fortunate to be healthy and even though i’m having a hard time doing things, i still appreciate every part of my body…..

my neighbor has the coolest golden retrievers. they are not only cool, their pretty talented. pono is on the right. look familiar? if you watch lost, you will know pono. he’s the main dog actor in the drama series. the dog in the middle is also famous. he’s the eddie bauer model. sometimes i go over and talk have a beer with the dogs. they speak english and some japanese too. pretty amazing animals…

had a fun time at lunch with kinsan, toda-san, and takami-san. when ever i don’t see kinsan for a long time, we have lots and lots to talk about. and lots and lots to laugh about. we ate at one of my secret chinese plate lunch restaurants. the best roast pork in town!! thanks for lunch toda-san. and thanks kinsan for dropping off shirasu for me. and thank you kimura-san for the shirasu. and thank you world for this awesome day. can’t wait till tomorrow…
