good evening. i got up early this morning because i thought diamond head will be going off. i pulled up there at 6:30am…

i was wrong. the wind was already kind of strong so the waves weren’t too good. so i jumped back in my car and went to surf bowls. it was super fun. well, until my brand new video camera broke. yeah, water got into it and it died. and it died right before i was going to film a hawaiian monk seal swimming by. i was bummed….

i hardly go out to the north shore in the summer. the waves were flat but it was freaking beautiful out there….

flat? yeah, this is flat in hawaii. all surf reports were calling the waves flat but i seen 5 waves break pretty dam nice at rocky point. hey guys, this is not flat….

i’m always looking to cool down after a hot day of surfing. so i stopped by mcdonalds in wahiawa on the way back to town and bought a hot fudge sundae with nuts on top. along with 3 cookies. all for $2.15. can’t beat that….

SUMMER PIPELINE TODAY @ 2PM…. FLAT!

good morning. 6am thursday morning. got some waves in town today. i just seen a shoulder high set at bowls. not too many waves but when it comes, it comes. 30 guys out already. i’m going to surf somewhere different today. no wind so everywhere is good. have a nice day…. by the way, there are 10 reports of swine flu on oahu. 2 kids have it near my house have it. i have something to say. “if your feeling sick, have fever, or a cough, please go to the doctor. and please stay home so nobody else catches it. it could be a common cold, or it could be the swine flu. why take a chance and spread it? at a time when we are trying to contain a deadly flu virus, please cooperate”…

last night i had a bottle of wine and a few chang beers with my wonderful thai dinner. another secret spot so can’t show you photos. gosh, hawaii has the best food in the world….

$19 dollars for a box of hawaiian host macadamia chocolate? where? in the kuala lumpur airport… gosh, i swear you can get a box at longs for $2???

want something cheap to eat in malaysia? try the warm beef that’s sitting in the market for a few days without ice. i wish i didn’t see this part of malaysia….

and last, don’t miss the kewalo basin beach cleanup on saturday, may 16th at 11am. there will be surfboard giveaways along with free prizes and stuff. novus magazine and the surfrider foundation (oahu chapter) are putting it on so don’t miss it. it’s time to give back to our beaches. thanks ryo for sending me the info. mahalo…
