Old School Peaceful Fishing

It’s so inspiring seeing my 7th grade teacher being so active.  I see  Mr. Takabayashi fishing all the time by himself.  He went out at midnight and came back the next afternoon.  Yes, all by himself.  I would love to go fishing with him someday but I don’t know if I could fish for that long.  Mr. Takabayashi must be a very patient man.  Well, he did put up with me when I was at the worst point in my life.

Lots of fresh akule!

These are very prized and expensive fish.  I’m sure Mr. Takabayashi has his secret spots.

Back to yesterday evening.  Lots of rides in the most perfect conditions for Miho-san.

This is as peaceful you will experience Bowls in the evening.  Where was everyone???

Going to surf.
Have a wonderful day!

Magic Monday Rides

Round 1:  Started off early this morning paddling out gazing at the stars.

Takahata-san learning how to go higher on the lip.

His technique is starting to become muscle memory.

This is how you do an off the lip.  Look at the 6 local boys paddling out watching this beautiful turn.

Good placement!

Then you can see the fins, spray, and it looks good!  Such a great maneuver!

Round 2:  Miho-san caught another months worth of waves.  Lots of long rides all the way to the wall.

This little baby monk seal was hanging on the beach all day long.

Round 3:  OMG, Bowls was epic!  Only a couple surfers out and the conditions couldn’t have been any cleaner.

Miho-san caught so many long lefts that ended at the wall.  Over and over and over.  Another months worth of waves this evening.

This is the moment.  Surfing with the sunset on a very peaceful Monday evening.

Green flash and then called it a day.  A long day of many great rides.  Goodnight.
