super stoked to see Dexter Shimabukuro getting 2nd place! always a very stylish surfer. we grew up surfing together at sandy beach in the 1980’s.

nobody surfs Bowls as much as local surfer Makana. he’s out there every single day no matter what size and conditions. a super cool guy and a super awesome surfer.

and with all that local knowledge, i’m not surprised at all that he won his division. local knowledge pays off.
