Sharks can Swim!

2,30014'gw
ok, let’s talk about sharks again. i tell everybody that sharks can swim. so if there are sharks on the north shore of oahu, there are sharks on the south shore of oahu. if there are sharks at sand island, there are sharks at bowls. in fact, if there are sharks in this ocean, there are sharks in this ocean. sharks can and do swim. it’s a proven fact. take this 14′ great white shark for example. they’ve been tracking this 2,300 pound (1043 KG) beast that has swam over 6,400 miles (10,300 KM) over the past month. now do you believe me that sharks can swim?

this is japan yesterday. this is shikoku. this is a real typhoon. japan gets hit by 20 or so typhoons every year so you can say that this is normal for them. people die, people get hurt, and people lose houses. it’s just a part of life as typhoon season runs from june to october. i hope everybody is safe.

and when the typhoon spins off the coast, it produces perfect waves for everyone. i will never forget this day at a secret spot in japan surfing only with the locals. this is japan surf culture. when i got back to hawaii, a lot of my friends asked me to take them for the next typhoon. my answer for the past 20 years has always been “sorry dude.”
