i just love taking surfers surfing for the first time in hawaii. especially when they are honeymooners! and when the weather is this beautiful, you can’t ask for anything more!

Kai-san on his first hawaiian wave! super stoked to see him riding such long waves.

Mayuka-san on her first wave in her life! look how happy she was! i was so stoked she stood up on her first wave and improved after that. every wave ridden long and perfectly.

half way through our session, i told her “now you will understand Kai-san’s feeling when he comes home from a good surf session in japan.” only a surfer will know that feeling. and now, Mayuka-san knows that awesome feeling.

and Kai-san now can share the beautiful sport of surfing with his soul mate for the rest of their life.

i had to get the beautiful diamond head shot. i try my best all the time to get this shot and when i do, i’m pretty satisfied.

days been flying by. logged in another 5 hours of surfing today. morning session and afternoon sessions. was thinking about my life in the water today. thinking how fortunate i am to have such wonderful family and friends in this world.

Noah and Kaiwi on the paddle out. always smiling once the kids hit the ocean.

i can’t wait to take this kid again. next time, i want to keep him in the water all day long. just want to watch him surf and play in the ocean he will love forever.

stoked i got Kaiwi up on her first wave of her life. how could you not stand up when you have your uncle yelling his head off “stand up!!!!” from far away. haha.

stoked to get some water time in with my buddy Carter. and stoked to see him ripping!

perfect rights in hawaii, and perfect lefts in the philippines? Carter and i have been having a good year so far when it comes to waves.

had an amazing afternoon with the new Mr. and Mrs. Kai-san. first time honeymooners in hawaii. first time surfing here too. we had such a great time!
