went to the sports bar Anasia yesterday afternoon to watch some sports. on the way in, i saw this cool old school toyota with aloha racks. remember these?

every surfer had these racks on their car back in the 70’s and 80’s. now it’s a collectors item and worth a lot of money. so cool to see it still around. made me want to strap my board on the top.

pulled up at 3:30pm to watch UFC 199. super good fights so didn’t want to miss it. good food, cold beers, and good company.

Max Holloway is from Waianae. he’s a super good fighter climbing to the top. i’m pretty sure he will be world champion soon. another very impressive win for this young hawaiian fighter.

then went to have a drink at the Sky Waikiki. first time ever for me going up there so was pretty exciting.

a new bar on the top of waikiki. very clean, great atmosphere, and cool winds.

i was telling Carter, “hey, we have to bring our japanese friends here someday. they would love it!”

a very rare visit to waikiki for me. it was actually cool to see so many happy tourists enjoying this beautiful place. business is booming everywhere!
