recently, we’ve all been surfing together so everybody is pushing each other to get better.  the results show and friendships grow.  

we ended up surfing outside Waikiki and the waves were plentiful.  lots of waves and lots of epic rides!

Takami-san surfing really smooth.  a lot of my friends compliment her surfing.  

this girl has only been surfing for 5 months.  we were working on style today and it was looking great!  one of the fastest learners ever.  

once you achieve a good surfing style, everything and anything you do on a wave will look good.  just like this.

one month ago, this girl was taking off on small inside waves.  now she’s on the outside taking off on the biggest sets.  very calm and very cool.

have you ever seen a 230lbs. man fly before?  i seen one this morning!  

then we went out for Round 2 this afternoon.  omg, the waves were EPIC!  this South swell is rising and we’ll be searching for the biggest wave everyday!  see you out there!

my student asked me “didn’t you tell me it’s not good to paddle out with a big group like this?”  i told her “yes, normally you shouldn’t do that.  BUT, this group is different.  there could be 30 of us in this group and nobody would dare to say anything.”

i want to thank Carter for teaching Mia how to fight properly.  i’ve been teaching her for years to kick the guy your hardest in his balls!  haha.  but now she has a jab and a right hook, it makes it even better.  kick him in the balls then jab and hook him as he goes down to his knees.  then kick him in the balls again when he’s on the ground.  haha.  anyway, i was really impressed with Carter’s teaching skills.  he’s very patient and very technical.  he would be the last guy in the world i would want to fight.  no way!
