pretty funny how many people ask me about photography. i usually tell them not to get into it unless they have lots of money, and lots of time. it’s easy to get burnt out, frustrated, and completely turned off if you go at it the wrong way. my advise is to take it slow, enjoy it, and go with the flow. to be a good photographer, you don’t need all the up to date equipment, all you need is a good eye, and some love of taking photos. no single photo can be judged in a bad way because all photographers are different.
so my sister asked me about photoshop. WAIT!!!! photoshop is a totally different thing. photoshop takes 10x the time as photography does. i went to countless hours of photoshop seminars, and spent about a years time working on the program. and i’m still a beginner. it’s not as easy as people think. it’s deep, and never ending. unless you have about 5 hours a day to learn it for the next few months, forget it.
tammy shot kelia yesterday. she says that the photos are so so. that can happen from shooting the same subject over and over. to me, i love any photo of kelia because of her inner beauty. i guess mom can bring that out. tam, keep up the good photography, don’t give up! and kelia, you look great! keep pure and don’t let all that new york modeling crap change the person you are.
i was shooting kelia since she was a little baby. i thought my photos of her are cool, but these are even cooler. great lighting, great setup, and great mood. i feel like i want to jump into the photo. gosh, i miss hawaii!
