another happy day in paradise for me. a new baby surfer! yeah! i was so happy to take Mauna-chan surfing for her first time! i couldn’t believe how comfortable she was in the ocean. smiling the whole way! 
before i just throw a baby on a board and ride a wave, i get them to feel comfortable with me. and i guess trust me a little. haha. so i just play around in the wild Disney Sea…
then it’s game time! i say “hey Mauna-chan, are you ready for the time of your life? just look forward and bend your knees ok.” 
i didn’t realize it but Mauna-chan fell asleep right as i was paddling for the wave!!! i came home and watched the video laughing so hard!!! haha…. i was saying “get ready girl!” and she was totally sleeping! 
but once we caught the big wave, she woke up, popped up, bent her knees, and looked forward. how in the world does a 2 year old figure it out so fast, and nobody else listens to me??? haha…
this little girl was enjoying the ride. i’m sure she will never forget this wave. from being totally asleep to riding on the ocean like Moana must have freaked her out. probably felt like a dream for her… 
we kept on going and going so i picked up Mauna-chan and rode it with her till the end. i can’t believe this girl is only 2 years old??? 
then i got the high five! good job girl. i’m so proud of you! 
then Mommy Ikuko-san was surfing at Bowls and we were just hanging out in the ocean. 
then i felt Mauna-chan’s head tilting down and come to find out, she went back to sleep. haha… so cute!!! I’m guessing she’s comfortable with me. so that means we can go surfing again!!! yeah!
